Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, and implement individualized speech and language therapy programs in long-term care and related settings. The role focuses on improving communication, cognition, and swallowing to enhance safety and quality of life.

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, therapy implementation, dysphagia management, caregiver education, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • CCC-SLP preferred; eligibility with ASHA.
  • At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Current licensure and continuing education aligned with state requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities using standardized assessments and clinical judgment.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish measurable goals and modify treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress.
  • Implement interventions to improve communication and swallowing functions including dysphagia management.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and home programs.
  • Maintain documentation compliant with Medicare and regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and participate in care planning meetings.
