Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate patients, plan treatments, and supervise interns within the Post Acute Physical Therapy department. The role requires collaboration with PTs, OTs, SLPs, and Rehab Technicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.

The incumbent will maintain productivity, document in a timely manner, and may cover other rehabilitation areas as needed, providing speech therapy across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Evaluates and establishes treatment plans; clinical assessment and use of equipment as appropriate to clinical area.
• Supervises student interns and mentors new employees or volunteers.
• Demonstrates leadership, coordination with therapy disciplines, and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises student interns.
• Maintains productivity level at department target.
• Evaluates and establishes treatment plan for any patient referred to Speech Pathology.
• Completes documentation according to all regulations and in a timely manner.
• May cover other rehab areas to meet patient care needs and provide speech therapy across neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
