Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Speech Pathologist for acute physical therapy care in a full-time daytime role. You will evaluate patients, plan treatments, supervise interns, and maintain department productivity while coordinating with other therapy disciplines.

You will lead clinical decisions, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide mentorship and education to staff. The position covers diverse patient populations from neonates to geriatrics and may involve

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CCC-SLP certification within 1 year required.
• State license to practice Speech Pathology required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises student interns.
• Maintains productivity at department target.
• Evaluates and establishes treatment plans for patients referred to Speech Pathology.
• Clinically competent in assessment, treatment, and use of equipment relevant to the clinical area.
• Attends and provides continuing education in-services.
• Mentors new employees or volunteers.
• Provides clinical instruction after one year of experience as a clinician.
• Completes documentation according to regulations and in a timely manner.
• May cover other rehab areas to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrates speech therapy skills for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
