Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking qualified Speech Language Pathologist candidates for the 2026-2027 school year. This general posting will be used to generate an applicant pool for these positions.

As openings are identified, district administrators will contact you if you are selected for an interview and to discuss caseloads, assessments, IEP goals, and collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• State ESA certificate with Speech Language Pathology endorsement required.
• Certification must be current and eligible for district placement.
• Experience with school-based assessment and therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complies with state and federal regulations regarding special education and the practice of speech-language therapy.
• Manages a caseload as determined by district need and contract.
• Reviews educational and medical records and performs assessments in communication areas.
• Establishes and supports alternative modes of communication (e.g., assistive technology).
• Determines educational significance of communication deficits and supports IEP goals.
• Plans treatment programs and implements therapy with direct intervention and/or consultation.
• Maintains accurate records of student progress within timelines.
• Communicates with physicians, parents, and staff to coordinate services.
