Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation across Olathe and Paola locations. The role includes evaluating patients across the lifespan and developing individualized treatment plans for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders.

The SLP collaborates with the care team, documents progress, and supports education for patients, families, and staff, with supervision of trainees as needed. This position is full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited SLP program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and plans personalized speech, language, cognition, and swallowing treatment.
• Interviews patients to determine impairment in speech, language, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team and documents evaluations.
• Schedules treatments and supervises Rehab Aides and student clinicians.
• Educates staff, patients, and families on speech pathology goals.
• Integrates Speech-Language Pathology with other aspects of patient care.
• Manages patient schedule to maximize efficiency and reduce cancellations.
