Evaluates, plans, directs, and administers programs of speech-language pathology in an acute care setting, upon referral by a physician.
Requires hearing (corrected), vision (corrected), intelligible speech, and adequate language/cognitive skills. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally climb stairs, kneel, twist, bend, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead. Lifting up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. PPE such as gloves, goggles, gowns, and masks may be required. Work environment is fast-paced, primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor work.
Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program required. NC licensure for SLP required. Minimum 1-year experience preferred. BLS certification required per policy.
