Job summary

Regency Redmond is seeking a PRN Speech Therapist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines. You will plan and administer medically prescribed therapy, evaluate skills, review orders, and perform initial evaluations.

The role includes developing written treatment plans with the physician and caregivers and performing OASIS assessments when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of speech pathology and language disorders.
• Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or the Accrediting Body.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing problems.
• Evaluates speech and language skills related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
• Reviews referrals, physician orders, patient condition, and records to determine therapy indicated.
• Performs initial patient evaluation before initiating therapy.
• Performs and documents OASIS assessments at appropriate times.
• Plans and prepares written treatment plans with physician, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Plans and conducts rehabilitative treatment to improve communication abilities.
• Other duties as requested.
