Job summary

Cedar Ridge in Farmington, NM is seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our in-house rehabilitation team. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current New Mexico SLP license (or eligibility).
• CCC-SLP preferred or CF welcome.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide therapy for communication disorders, cognitive impairments, and dysphagia.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and therapy team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and safe swallowing.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in care planning meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
