Overview

Under the direction of the Rehabilitation Leadership Team, provides direct patient and family-centered care which includes evaluation, assessment, and treatment planning based on functional needs. Works with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and adjust treatment plan as necessary. May participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives and program development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient and family-centered speech-language pathology services, including evaluation, assessment, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives and program development.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders; Clinical Doctorate in related field is preferred.
  • Licensure: Speech Language Pathology Licensure; VitalStim certification is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year pediatric clinical experience (experience preferred/desired).
  • Skills: Bilingual abilities, strong presentation skills, computer skills in Excel and PowerPoint; continuing education in pediatric SLP is desirable.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: Minimum $45.72, Midpoint $60.58, Maximum $75.43. Rate of pay determined by knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, and position requirements.

Work Environments and Physical Demands
  • Medium to high energy level; lifting and carrying requirements; patient transfers
  • Physical activities include bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and fine motor tasks
  • Sensory requirements include color discrimination, depth perception, near/far vision, and hearing
