Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of CFY internship by date of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology curriculum (Bachelor/Master/Doctoral) with certification.
• California SLP licensure required at hire or eligibility for licensure.
• ASHA CCPP (Clinical Competence) certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision.
• Document services accurately per state/federal requirements and policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, rounds, and case conferences.
• Refer patients to appropriate providers when outside scope.
• Lead patient education classes or groups as requested.
• Provide department in-service and staff training as requested.
• Serve as clinical instructor as requested.
• Consult with staff and mentor colleagues.
• Assist in orientation and training of employees.
• Participate in performance improvement projects or committees.
• Monitor SLP Assistants and Rehab Aides performance.
• Oversee contract therapists and patient treatment where applicable.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice.
