Qualifications

Speech Language Pathologist I

Primary Location: UCHealth UCHlth Med Ctr of the Rockies, US:CO:Loveland

Department: MCR Rehab Services

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $36.19 - $54.28 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to work with a wide variety of patient conditions. This position will be split between 2 locations- The Wellness Place at Harmony Cancer Center in Fort Collins 2 days per week and MCR OP Rehab clinic in Loveland 3 days per week. Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
• Provides education to the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
• Performs all underlying duties of the job including but not limited to supervising support personnel according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
  
  

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Current certification with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Speech Pathology required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
