Job summary

Elite Home Health, part of the LHC Group and Optum family, is seeking a Speech Therapist to evaluate and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders in home settings. You will assess, plan, and deliver interventions to improve patient well-being and monitor progress.

Licensed Speech Therapist with a valid state license and reliable transportation is required; CPR is preferred or can be completed within 90 days. Weekend rotations may be required, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or able to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Weekend rotation availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice defined by state laws, per plan of care, and in coordination with the health care team.
• Assesses function using diagnostic/prognostic tests and helps physician develop therapy plan.
• Treats patients to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive function.
• Monitors progress, records responses to treatment, and reports changes to supervisor.
• Instructs patient, family, and caregivers in speech therapy activities.
• Functions in home care settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
