Job description

Up to $2,500 Sign-on Bonus!

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a Per Diem role performing home health visits in Columbia, Maryland. This position involves seeing approximately 5-10 clients per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must be available to serve clients in Howard & Carroll Counties, Maryland. Prior home care experience is a plus but not required.

As a home care Speech Therapist, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to help clients remain at home.

Responsibilities:

1. Make home visits to clients in designated areas.
2. Conduct evaluations to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, or swallowing issues.
3. Develop and update personalized treatment plans based on evaluations and physician instructions.
4. Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and revise therapy plans as needed.
5. Educate patients and families on rehabilitative activities to promote health, safety, and independence.
6. Document observations and interventions accurately using a digital tablet.

Qualifications:

• Current Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or equivalent education and experience, with eligibility to sit for the ASHA exam.
• Strong computer skills; experience with electronic medical records preferred.
