• Specializes in diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, and voice problems related to human communication, as well as dysphagia.
• DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Performs evaluations on referred patients promptly and formulates diagnoses based on assessment findings.
• Establishes individualized treatment plans and goals based on diagnostic testing.
• Provides treatment for communication deficits identified during evaluations.
• Completes documentation according to practice setting guidelines.
• Collaborates with healthcare team members to identify needs and plan continued services post-discharge.

Education, License, Certification, and Other Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology, or in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) meeting ASHA requirements.
• Current active Speech Pathology license in Kentucky and other required states; interim license accepted during CFY.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
