Job summary

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Kansas license, ASHA CCC, and BLS certification, with strong emphasis on education for patients and families and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current license through Kansas.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency through ASHA (CCC).
  • BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
  • Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modify it to achieve goals.
  • Provides care in accordance with physician’s orders and plan of care.
  • Assess educational needs of the patient, family, caregiver, or significant others and provide education.
  • Communicates honestly and resolves issues promptly.
  • Willingly assumes additional responsibilities to support team efforts.
  • Participates in continuous performance improvement processes.
  • Embraces changes that improve customer-focused care.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
