Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to improve patients' communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities within a collaborative rehabilitation team.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA certification, Missouri license or eligibility, BLS, CCC or eligible, and at least one year of hospital experience; strong documentation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• ASHA certification and Missouri license or eligibility are required.
• Current BLS certification and CCC or eligible for clinical fellowship required.
• At least one year of hospital or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments.
• Developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Documenting evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries.
• Educating patients and families on therapy goals and home strategies.
• Collaborating with physicians and rehabilitation teams to support coordinated care.
