Job summary

Helen Hayes Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to serve primarily in the Inpatient Therapy Services, evaluating and treating a variety of complex patient populations. The role may require coverage of Outpatient Therapy areas as needed and involves ongoing competency assessment.

Qualified candidates will hold NY licensure or ASHA certification and have at least one year of post-master's experience. Strong documentation and Medicare guideline familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• New York State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or ASHA certification.
• Minimum of 1 year post-master's experience as an SLP.

Requirements

Possessionof licensure and current registration as a Speech Language Pathologist in NewYork State or certification in Speech-Language Pathology by ASHA, and one yearof post-master's experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

Clinicalexperience working with neurological diagnosis in an inpatient and outpatientsetting. Understanding of inpatient documentation/ Medicare guidelines.Experience with swallow studies and/or FEES.
