Job summary

PRN Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, an affiliate of The Weston Group, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to join our rehab team in New York. The role offers per diem, part-time hours with potential to grow to full-time, and time split between Albany and Niskayuna sites.

You will evaluate and treat patients referred by physicians, supervise rehab techs, and use modality-based interventions to restore function, while educating families and documenting progress.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited Speech Pathology program.
  • CCC-SLP certification required.
  • Licensed in the state where practicing.

Responsibilities

  • Address client performance to support engagement in everyday activities.
  • Select and adapt speech therapy treatment models per case.
  • Educate family members and caregivers.
  • Observe, note, and report progress toward goals.
  • Collect data and document processes.
  • Regularly follow up with clients.

We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Speech Language Pathologist to join our rehab team. You will offer effective and client-centered services that will enable people to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities.

- Time split between sites, facilities are 5 minutes apart. Albany & Niskayuna, NY

- Part time hours! Consistent Per diem! Potential to grow to full time!

POSITION SUMMARY

A Speech Language Pathologist is a skilled, registered and licensed professional who evaluates and treats patients referred by a physician. Treatment approaches utilize applicable modalities, supervision of rehabilitation techs, and/or exercise to restore function.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Address client's aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality.
  • Select and adapt the appropriate per case speech therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions.
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
  • Observe, note, and report on the progress of long- and short-term treatment goals.
  • Collect data and document processes followed.
  • Regularly follow-up with clients.
SKILLS
  • Proven working experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of Speech Language Pathology
  • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grown in the profession

Requirements

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Speech Language Pathologists must be a graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology training program and have secured the Certificate of Clinical Competence.

LICENSURE OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS

Speech Language Pathologists must be licensed in the state practicing by the Board of Speech Therapy and provide an acceptable Criminal Background Check.
