Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and valid Pennsylvania licensure required.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is essential.

Job description

Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Private School in Newtown, Bucks County

Schedule: Full-Time (Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm) with an extended school year (ESY)


At Potential Inc., we believe in the power of Potential - specifically, the potential within every individual with Autism. We are seeking a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who will be responsible for applying the principles of Behavior Analysis to treat students who have difficulties with auditory comprehensive and expressive communication. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting Assessments: Evaluate students for speech and communication disorders, including swallowing difficulties, and create personalized treatment plans based on their unique needs.
  • Creating and Implementing IEPs: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to design and execute goal-oriented Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address each student's specific goals.
  • Therapy Sessions: Lead both 1:1 and group therapy sessions, focusing on personalized care, skill development, and measurable progress for each student.
  • Collaboration: Participate in IEP meetings, working closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
  • AAC Expertise: Provide support for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, including assessments, troubleshooting, and recommendations tailored to each student's needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Write clear, detailed progress reports and maintain accurate records for each student to track their journey and growth.
