Job summary
MaineHealth is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate language abilities, auditory processing, and speech production, and to treat patients with speech, language, voice, hearing, and swallowing disorders. The role focuses on helping individuals establish an optimal functional communication system to express needs.
Required qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology, a current SLP license, and BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days).
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology required.
- Current state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist required or compliant with state practice act; BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days; ASHA Certification preferred.
- Positions in Home Care require a valid driver’s license with vehicle available and insurance as per policy.
Responsibilities
- Measure and evaluate language abilities, auditory processing, and speech production.
- Conduct treatment for speech, language, voice, hearing, and swallowing disorders as applicable.
- Assist patients in establishing an optimal functional communication system to express needs.
