Confirms and interprets physician referrals, performs patient assessments, plans and implements individualized treatment programs taking into account the patient’s developmental and/or chronological age and medical diagnoses in accordance with the regulations governing the principles and practice of Speech-Language Pathology.
Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Experience: Experience in site specific level of care preferred but notrequired. For Home Health positions one year of clinical experience required.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligible to complete clinical fellowship year (CFY); Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Life Support: AHA BLS-certified (from a Carilion approved program) within six months of employment.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, customer service and teamwork skills required.
