Oneida Health Rehabilitation & Extended Care in Oneida, NY is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders with a focus on dysphagia management for geriatric patients.

Collaboration with an inter-professional team is essential, and you will document evaluations, progress, and discharge summaries. Opportunities for Vent/Tracheostomy unit training may be provided.

Formación

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred or required per NYS licensure.
• VitalStim® Certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, with emphasis on dysphagia management for geriatric patients.
• Collaborate effectively with an inter-professional team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress notes, care plans, treatment notes, and discharge summaries.
• Shadow or train in dysphagia management for Vent and Tracheostomy Unit patients as needed.

• Demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills through collaborating as an effective and efficient member of the inter-professional team.
• Maintaining appropriate documentation of all speech therapy evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, care plans, treatment notes, consultations, and discharge summaries.
• Shadowing and/or training for dysphagia management in Vent and Tracheostomy Unit patients as needed.

License/Certification:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence
• NYS Speech Language Pathology Licensure
• VitalStimÒ Certification (Preferred)
