Base pay range

$131.00/hr - $151.00/hr

Job Description

Apply to Achieve Beyond as a Speech Language Pathologist Evaluator in Bronx, NY, and help children with special needs reach their goals. We offer opportunities across New York and surrounding areas, providing evaluations and ongoing services in homes, community, and clinic settings. Our culture emphasizes collaboration, support, and high-quality services, including ABA, Speech, Occupational, Social Work, and Physical therapy, as well as Special Education/SEIT services.

We serve children and families in the metro New York area (all 5 boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley, Long Island, Albany), Virginia/DC, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Delaware.

Position Details

Location: Bronx, NY

Cases available through: Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties

Responsibilities
  • Administer evaluations in home and/or school settings
  • Write comprehensive evaluation reports and submit them timely
  • Determine need for additional assessments based on observations and child needs
  • Conduct evaluations in the child's primary language
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation following HIPAA and other regulations
Requirements
  • Passion for working with children and families
  • NY State certifications/licenses such as Students with Disabilities, Permanent Special Education Certification, TSHH, TSLD, NYS School Psychologist, Licensed Master Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Experience with DAYC-2 and HELP assessments
  • Experience evaluating children aged birth to five (preferred)
  • Completion of EILN Intro and Advanced Assessment trainings (for EI evaluations)
  • Self-motivated, team player, patient, and professional
  • Fluency in another language is a plus; bilingual extension necessary for preschool services
Physical Requirements
  • Travel to cases using personal vehicle, walking, or public transportation
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs and lift 10 pounds
  • Ability to sit on the floor, kneel, or crawl for extended periods

Compensation

Evaluations: $131.00 - $153.00, based on experience and education. Details discussed during the interview.
