Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Suffolk, NY is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Evaluator to join our pediatric therapy team. The role offers a flexible schedule and involves conducting evaluations and providing services across homes, clinics, and community settings in the New York metro area.

Required NYS licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist; travel to cases is expected. Wage per evaluation ranges from $130–$250 hourly, with $60–$70 hourly being a separate rate.

• Ability to travel to cases and work in diverse settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations).

Requirements For a Speech Language Pathologist Evaluator

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• NYS Licensed Speech Language Pathologist
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: Per evaluation $130- $250/ hourly $$60- $70

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Speech Language Pathologist Evaluator Job interview process.
