Job summary

Sans Souci Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide and direct Speech Therapy services. The role includes assessment, development and implementation of treatment programs, and adherence to physician orders.

Responsibilities include conducting screenings, evaluations, planning and implementing treatment, and collaborating with patients and families. The position emphasizes documentation, supervision of students/volunteers, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current state licensure or license eligibility.
• Demonstrates good skills in all forms of communication.
• Maintains education and development appropriate for position.
• Works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Provides Speech Therapy services to patients and initiates referrals as appropriate.
• Conducts screenings at regular intervals to determine need for intervention.
• Evaluates patients to obtain data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings to patients, family, and team members.
• Develops treatment plans with short and long-term goals and methods to achieve them.
• Coordinates treatment plan with patient, family and other team members.
• Monitors patient progress and modifies treatment as indicated.
• Instructs patient, family and staff in use of augmentative communication devices.
• Participates in discharge planning and home/community programming.
• Documents assessment, treatment, follow-up and termination of services.
• Supervises students and volunteers in accordance with state regulations.
