Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state licensure or license eligible.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides Speech Therapy services to patients and initiates referrals when appropriate.
• Conducts screenings of patients at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Evaluates patients to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings to patients, family, and other team members.
• Develops treatment plans with short and long term goals and methods to achieve identified goals.
• Coordinates treatment plan with patient, family and other team members.
• Monitors patient’s response and modifies treatment as indicated to attain goals.
• Recommends equipment to improve patient’s communication and instructs on devices.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Develops home or community programming to maintain and enhance performance.
• Documents results of assessments and treatments.
• Supervises students and volunteers as per state regulations.
• Maintains continuing education and professional development.
