Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to perform examinations and evaluations, determine prognosis, and update plans of care. You will assist the supervisor with clinical and operational issues and collaborate to improve rehab service utilization.

Responsibilities include interprofessional collaboration, documentation, and education for patients and families, with attention to cultural and age-related needs. Licensure, ASHA certification, and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from ASHA‑accredited program.
• Current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
• ASHA certification.
• CPR certification.
• For home care and early intervention staff: valid driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Consults with medical and other professionals to provide optimum patient care and efficient operations.
• Demonstrates comprehensive evaluation skills and modifies plans as needed.
• Maintains and completes evaluations and documentation in a timely manner according to guidelines.
• Effectively utilizes other support staff as appropriate.
• Communicates with patients and families in age-appropriate and culturally sensitive ways.
