Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders or equivalent degree approved by ASHA.
• State licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist in Washington.
• CCC from ASHA required or equivalent for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, direct and administer speech/language pathology evaluation and intervention for patients with communication and swallowing disorders referred by a licensed provider.
• Administer treatments to restore function and prevent disability after disease or injury.
• Assist patients to reach maximum functioning and live within their capabilities.
• Develop clinical programs to ensure optimum patient care and service.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality improvement activities within the department.
• Contribute to budgeting, evaluate departmental performance, and help manage expenses.
• Ensure accurate patient charges and timely documentation.
• Participate in infection control, equipment training, compliance, safety, and education programs.

Education

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders or equivalent degree approved by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Licensed by the State of Washington as a Speech Language Pathologist

Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association
