Job summary

Hummingbird Speech Inc. is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) for in-home Early Intervention services in the Long Beach area, with occasional Telehealth sessions as requested.

The role offers part-time (5+ hours/week) and full-time (35–40 hours/week) options, with flexible daytime, after-school, evening, and weekend hours possible. Base pay is $50–$60 per hour, depending on experience, across multiple service areas in Southern California.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification and California state licensure (required).
• Experience in pediatric therapy and early intervention is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pediatric assessments to identify speech and language disorders using DAYC-2 or Bayley Scales 4th Edition.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide in-home speech therapy with occasional Telehealth sessions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate families on speech and language strategies for improvement.
• Adhere to CFY supervision guidelines.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) to join our team. This role focuses on Early Intervention and involves providing in-home therapy services, with occasional Telehealth sessions as requested.

Service Areas, Pay, Hours

Service Areas: Bellflower, Norwalk, Artesia, Cerritos, Downey, Lakewood, Long Beach, Torrance, Carson, Montebello, and Pico Rivera. Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour (based on experience). Hours: 5 – 40 hours per week (depends on part-time or full-time position)

Responsibilities

• Conduct pediatric patient assessments to determine speech and language disorders using either DAYC-2 or Bayley Scales 4th Edition
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Provide speech therapy services to patients with various communication disorders, direct in-home
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care as needed
• Monitor and document patient progress electronically and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families on speech and language strategies for improvement
• Abide by ASHA CFY standards and guidelines for supervision

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and language
• CCC-SLP certification and California state licensure (required)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with children and early intervention (preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred, but not required)
• CFYs are encouraged to apply
