Job summary

HealthPRO Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, is seeking two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists for school-based roles in Central Virginia. In-person, W-2 employment with two openings for full school-year and maternity leave coverage.

CCC-SLPs encouraged to apply; in-person school setting with meaningful patient impact. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, evidence-based therapies, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist or eligibility.
  • CCC-SLP certification from ASHA.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and observations.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies and educate families on treatment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers in multidisciplinary teams.

HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists for school-based opportunities in Central Virginia.

We are hiring for two separate full-time opportunities: one supporting students for the full school year and one providing maternity leave coverage.

Position Highlights
Full School-Year Opportunity (Position 1)
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Anticipated start date: September 8, 2026
Leave Coverage Opportunity (Position 2)
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Anticipated coverage from November through March
  • Exact dates are still being finalized

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathology, or license eligible
  • Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
