HealthPRO Pediatrics in Leonardtown, Maryland is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to support students at the elementary level and an Infant/Toddler program for the 2026–2027 school year.

This role offers a part-time, W-2 position with a school-based schedule designed to support work-life balance, approximately 40 students, and a 42–48/hour rate for direct services and non-billable work.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an ASHA-accredited Speech Therapy program.
  • Current State Speech Therapist license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Efficient problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech/language therapy in a school setting for pediatrics.
  • Develop and administer evaluations and treatment plans.

Part-Time | $42–$48/hour | 2026–2027 School Year

HealthPRO Pediatrics is hiring a CCC-SLP to join our school-based team in Leonardtown, Maryland for the 2026–2027 school year.

We have opportunities supporting students at the elementary level and within an Infant/Toddler program. This is a great opportunity for an SLP looking for a meaningful part-time position with school-based hours and a supportive team.

About HealthPRO Pediatrics

Responsibilities

The speech therapist will provide speech/language/feeding & swallowing services to the pediatric population age 0-21 with developmental, neurological, and medical based disorders in a school setting. This position performs highly responsible work that will promote quality patient care and efficiency. The speech therapist is responsible for planning and administering evaluations, treatment plans, consults, screenings, parent education and promotes the overall health of the patient. The speech therapist will also collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, therapists, BCBAs, school staff, and parents to provide holistic services. In addition, this position requires flexibility with scheduled hours as the company continues to thrive and grow.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Provides skilled speech therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
  • Adheres to state requirements for supervision of SLPAs and Clinical Fellows to provide services with the highest care standards
  • Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment/ follow up programs.
  • Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
  • Maintains patient records confidentially.
  • Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
  • Complies with the applicable State Speech Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulations
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
  • Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.
  • Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and other professionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.
  • Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.
  • Directs all patient scheduling matters through the front desk coordinator.
  • Attends meetings as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles, techniques, materials and equipment in pediatric speech therapy.
  • Ability to evaluate a patient’s speech therapy needs and communicate the patient’s needs to the legal guardian and/or appropriate parties involved in the patient’s care.
  • Ability to communicate with a high degree of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of CPT & ICD 10 coding procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of speech therapy principles and practices.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of computer programs (EMRs)
