University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a casual Speech Language Pathologist
This position will work at Presbyterian, Shadyside, St. Margaret, East, and Magee. Shifts will be 8-10 hours with 2 weekend days per month, and weekdays as needed.
Purpose:
Provides a quality Speech Language Pathology program to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Achieves and maintains a level of productivity which meets or exceeds the standards established for the facility by the organization.
- Prepares necessary time records.
- Maintains current status of all pertinent criteria necessary to satisfy competency requirements for regulatory and accrediting agencies such as OSHA, TJC, and CMS, including required CEUs, current professional license, CV, CPR certification, TB test, safety and equipment competencies, and in some cases automobile license and insurance. Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
- Independently pursues professional growth and development related to this position, presenting in-service and educational programs, and participating in community education or continuing education programs sponsored by the organization.
- Performs all job responsibilities and other duties as assigned, aligning with the organization's mission.
- Maintains accurate progress notes and professional records for all patients seen for speech pathology services.
- Adheres to organizational policies, procedures, the mission, the Corporate Compliance Program, and HIPAA regulations. Reports any suspected unethical, incompetent, or illegal activities.
- Provides appropriate speech pathology treatments for all clients benefiting from such services.
- Prepares diagnostic and evaluative reports with recommendations for each client.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Provides diagnostic evaluative services for all clients referred for Speech-Language Pathology services.
- Reports accurate data for financial, statistical, and administrative needs of the programs.
- Coordinates evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs for referred clients.
- Participates in staff meetings, development, departmental committees, and in-service education programs.
- Obtains complete and pertinent historical information on all clients referred for services.
- Maintains a positive attitude and provides excellent customer service characterized by caring, concern, and support for the public, supervisors, employees, and coworkers.
