You will assist in assessments, help develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP to support students' communication needs. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff, monitor progress, maintain records, and participate in group and individual sessions focusing on articulation, language development, fluency, and pragmatic

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • State license or eligibility for licensure as an SLPA.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in providing essential speech therapy services to students in a school setting. The SLPA will assist in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapy to support students' speech, language, and communication needs under the supervision of a licensed SLP. This role involves collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure effective communication support and monitoring student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and in collaboration with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs).
  • Provide therapy services to students individually and in group settings, focusing on areas such as articulation, language development, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals within the educational environment.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other documentation as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • State license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, preferably in speech therapy or related roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in supporting students' communication development.
