Job summary

Mindful Sprouts in Florida is seeking an SLPA to deliver direct therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP, assisting with assessments and implementing individualized treatment plans.

You will collect progress data, maintain accurate session notes, and coordinate with SLPs, OTs, and ABA teams to ensure consistent, child-centered care. The role offers a flexible schedule, opportunities for professional growth, and ongoing training for certification and development.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in an SLPA program or Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders with clinical training.
  • Active SLPA license in Florida.
  • Experience in a clinic or school setting preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and directions from supervising SLPs.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Utilize evidence-based techniques to address communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Collect accurate data during therapy sessions for progress monitoring and documentation.
  • Assist the supervising SLP with non-diagnostic screening activities and preparation for client assessments.
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials and resources for assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely session notes, progress reports, and data logs in compliance with clinic policies and applicable laws.
  • Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP about client progress, challenges, and observations.
  • Work closely with SLPs, Occupational Therapists, and ABA teams to ensure integrated and consistent care.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders about therapy activities and progress, as directed by the SLP.
  • Adhere to state and federal regulations regarding SLPA duties and scope of practice.
  • Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.
  • Uphold professional and ethical standards set by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
