Job summary

Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to provide school-based services for a local school district in Norristown, PA. The SLPA will work under a Speech-Language Pathologist to implement therapy aligned with IEPs and participate in MDT meetings to support student progress.

The role is a 1099 independent contracting position offering on-site and off-site mentorship, access to a School-Based Academy, and a lending library of testing tools and assessments

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in SLPA program or 30 semester hours in speech-language and hearing from an accredited college.
• Finish required supervised field work under a licensed speech-language pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy techniques and instructions per IEPs under the Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Participate in IEP/MDT meetings to assess student needs and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan classroom-based activities for carry-over of learning.
• Provide consultative services to parents in the therapy program.
• Maintain all required student documentation and reports in compliance with laws and policies.

Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to provide school-based services for a local school district in Norristown, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with Speech Language Pathologist to implement specialized therapy treatment, techniques, and instruction in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) of students being served.
  
• Working with Speech Language Pathologist to participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and multi-disciplinary team meetings to assist in evaluating student needs/progress and to develop and/or revise individualized therapy interventions, objectives, and goals.
  
• Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement classroom-based activities and instructional techniques to ensure carry-over of learning.
  
• Provide consultative services to parents in the therapy program of their child.
  
• Compile, maintain, and file all required student documentation and reports incompliance with deadlines, confidentiality laws, federal and state laws, State Board of Education regulations, and school administrative policies and procedures.
