Job summary

Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District is seeking a 1.0 Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant for the Freetown Elementary School. The role focuses on servicing students on the caseload, collaborating with teachers and families, and supporting speech and language goals with the supervising SLPA.

The candidate will assist with screenings, document progress, and help with materials and scheduling. A Bachelor’s in Communication Disorders and MA SLPA licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders required.
• Massachusetts Licensure as Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant required.
• Pre-employment criminal background check required.
• Three years of experience preferred.
• Experience differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
• Proficiency with technology and blended learning.
• Ability to collaborate with families, colleagues and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Assist speech and language pathologist with screenings and therapy.
• Document student progress and complete progress reports.
• Assist with assessments and preparation of materials.
• Support Building Based Support Teams and contribute to student success.
