Job summary

Winchester Public Schools is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to work under the supervision of a certified SLP. You will assist with treatment implementation, collaborate with staff, and collect data on student performance across Pre-K to 12.

The role requires travel between 3 district schools; 37.5 hours weekly (35 paid) with a starting wage of $25.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience. Background checks and prerequisites apply.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences preferred.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Document student performance and report information to SLP.
• Assist SLP with treatment implementation using the treatment plan developed by SLP.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service staff on a regular basis.
• Adhere to student IEPs as directed by SLP.
• Support in creating and preparing materials as directed by SLP.
• Log sessions into Relay/Compuclaim.
• Maintain updated data on all goals and objectives addressed in sessions.

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Position Purpose: Speech Language Pathologist Assistants work under the supervision of the certified speech-language pathologist to assist with the implementation of treatment plans, collaborate with staff members, and collect data on student performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences (Preferred)
• Experience with children preferred
• Document student performance and report information to SLP
• Assist SLP with treatment implementation using the treatment plan developed by SLP
• Collaborate with teachers and related service staff on a regular ongoing basis
• Adhere to student IEPs as directed by SLP
• Support in creating and preparing materials as directed by SLP
• Log sessions into Relay/Compuclaim
• Maintain updated data on all goals and objectives addressed in sessions
• 37.5 hours per week inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid lunch (35 hours per week is paid)
• The staff member may travel between 3 schools within the district
• Caseload: Students Pre-K to 12

Requirements:

• Must pass federal and local background checks
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must complete all pre-employment requirements before the start date.

Term:

• Full-time
• Starting rate $25.00-$27.00 per hour, depending on experience

Evaluation:

• The evaluation shall be performed by the Principal or their designee

Selection: Process and Interviews convened by Superintendent/Director of Student Support Services/Principal.
