Job Description And Responsibilities

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serving a school located in Rapid City, SD. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting screeners, monitoring progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Job Details

• Part-time school-based opportunity, 20 hours per week
• Four-day work schedule during the 2026-2027 school year (August through May 2027)
• Providing services to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade
• Deliver individualized therapy, complete assessments, collaborate with educational teams, and participate in treatment planning
• Work closely with the supervising SLP to support service delivery, clinical development, and student outcomes
• Paid hours include direct services, documentation, preparation, consultation, team meetings, and other professional responsibilities

• Balanced caseload designed to promote quality services and effective scheduling
• Competitive compensation of $40-$55+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of $800-$1.100+

Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
