Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a part-time, on-site Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position in Austin, TX. The SLPA will serve students from Kindergarten through 12th grade under the supervision of a licensed SLP, providing individual and group therapy as directed.

This role offers 10–20 hours per week for the 2026-2027 school year, with competitive pay of $35–$45 per hour and a W-2/1099 employment arrangement, along with benefits and professional development

Qualifications

• Valid SLPA Certification from an ASHA approved institution.
• State License as Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, where required.
• Department of Education Licensure as a SLPA, where required.
• Experience working with children.
• Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in use of technology.
• Fingerprint background clearance.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with tact and discretion in communications.

Responsibilities

Job Description and Responsibilities

This is a part-time, on-site role as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serving a school located in Austin, Texas.

The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting screeners, monitoring progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Job Details

• Part-time, on-site school-based opportunity with a 10-20-hour work week
• 2026-2027 school year (August 2026 through May 2027)

• Competitive compensation of $35-$45+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of $525-$675+, depending on hours worked

Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
