Job summary

Arc Broward is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for an ESE Preschool program on a part-time basis. The position offers $27/hour for about 20 hours per week, with Monday to Friday 9:30 am–1:30 pm aligned to Broward County instructional days.

The SLPA will assist the licensed SLP in delivering speech and language services to preschool children, implement therapy activities, collect progress data, and prepare materials. Collaboration and a supportive environment are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Possess current Florida State SLPA Certification.
• Experience with children or adults with varying exceptionalities.
• Pass required criminal background screening, employment physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Implement delegated speech and language intervention activities to support children's receptive language, expressive language, speech sound production, vocabulary, social communication, and functional communication skills.
• Carry out established treatment plans and individualized therapy activities designed by the supervising SLP.
• Facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate, play-based communication activities for individual children and small groups.
• Collect data on designated treatment goals, document services provided, and report student responses and progress to the supervising SLP.
• Prepare and organize therapy materials, visual supports, and communication resources to support individualized intervention.

Essential Job Functions/Duties
