Job summary

Salary: Salary based on experience and education level per FY 27 EPIC Professional Pay Scale with an additional$2500.00 supplement,competitive benefits package

Evaluation: Performancein this position will be evaluated by the building principal/immediate supervisor and/or Director of Student Support Servicesin accordance with WV State Code §18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5310 and Morgan County Board of Education Evaluation Policy.

Job Summary: Provide identification, planning, and delivery of speech-language-hearing program

EssentialJob Functions:

  • Conduct speech language screenings (without interpretation) following specified screening protocols selected by the supervising speech language pathologist
  • Provide direct therapy to identified students
  • Follow goals and objectives identified on thelEPand plans developed by the supervising speech language pathologist
  • Document student progress toward meeting established goals and objectives as stated in the IEP and report this information to the supervising speech language pathologist
  • Assist the speech language pathologist during assessment of students as directed
  • Assist with informal documentation(i.e. tallying notes for the speech language pathologist to use), prepare materials and assist with other clerical duties as assigned by the speech language pathologist
  • Schedule activities, prepare charts, records, graphs or otherwise display data.
  • Perform checks and maintenance of equipment
  • Assist in the implementation of assistive technology devices and services as deemed appropriate by the speech language pathologist
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services.
  • Maintain professional work habits
  • Maintain and upgrade his/her professional skillsin order to improve services for students
  • Collaborate with school personnel and/or parents to coordinate the delivery of services to students or others
  • Serve as consultant to classroom teachers when assigned to School Based Assistance Team or when requested by Director of Special Education or principal;
  • Participate in Eligibility Committee meetings and individualized education program (IEP) meetings as appropriate support, and counseling, when appropriate
  • Maintain records and submit monthly reports for Medicaid eligible services
  • Adheres to Employee Code of Conduct as outlined in Morgan County School's Policy 3210
