Job summary

A pediatric therapy practice in Arlington is seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Speech Language Pathology and a passion for empowering children facing functional challenges. We are seeking a part time/full time Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to work in our pediatric therapy clinic locations in Washington, DC and Arlington, VA.

Qualifications
  • Masterful Degree: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution; advanced experience a plus but not required.
  • License to Heal: DC and/or Virginia state licensure (or eligibility). Position requires licensure in both jurisdictions.

Duties Require
  • Extensive standing and walking
  • Lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
Skills
  • Experience with language, articulation, fluency, pragmatics, praxis, oral motor, and feeding
  • Ability to engage children and reduce behaviors interfering with learning
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for children
  • Ability to work independently with critical thinking and objective decision-making
  • Strong judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and iPad usage
