Job summary

Onward Education in Minnesota is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, onsite role in Dakota County for the 2026–2027 school year. You will deliver speech-language services aligned with IEP goals, collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, and support students' communication and academic success in the school setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, Minnesota MDH licensure, and appropriate school-based credentials;

  • Documentation of services, progress and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language services to students in accordance with IEP goals and educational needs.
  • Conduct speech-language evaluations, screenings, and reassessments to determine eligibility and service recommendations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support students' communication skills in the educational setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning and goal development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress monitoring, evaluations, and compliance requirements.
  • Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and other speech-language needs.
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, Minnesota special education requirements, and district policies.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist license through the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH)
  • Minnesota Board of Teaching credential/licensure for school-based practice, as required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, special education compliance, and school-based service delivery
  • Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide evidence-based speech-language interventions that support educational outcomes
