Job summary

Onward Education is partnering with a school district in El Paso County, Colorado, to hire multiple Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an on-site, full-time opportunity supporting students across grade levels.

In this role, you’ll assess and intervene to support students’ communication, language, and social development, collaborating closely with educators, families, and support teams to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and teams.
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities for IEP/504 processes.
• Ability to adapt to school-based settings and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to identify speech, language, and swallowing needs.
• Conduct screenings and standard assessments (articulation, fluency, voice, language, social communication).
• Develop and deliver therapy aligned to student goals within educational access.
• Support IEP and/or 504 processes, including writing goals and progress notes.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication strategies.
• Assist with AAC needs and generalize skills across school settings.

In this role, you’ll support students’ communication, language, and social development through assessment, intervention, and close collaboration with educators, families, and support teams, helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

• School Year: 2026/2027
• Pay: $54.50 - $58.50/ hour
• Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours/ week
• Start Date: Immediately

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to identify speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing needs.
• Conduct screenings and standardized assessments (articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, social communication).
• Develop and deliver therapy services aligned to student goals and educational access.
• Support IEP and/or 504 processes, including writing goals, progress monitoring, and required documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication strategies into classroom routines.
• Provide support for AAC needs when appropriate and help students generalize skills across school settings.

Qualifications

• SSP credential (required)
• School-based experience preferred (open to a range of grade-level experience)
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Collaborative, student-centered approach to service delivery
