Position: Speech Language Pathologist (2026‑2027 School Year)

Employment Status: PRN, up to 29 hours per week

Reports To: Testing Supervisor
Location: St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, St. Charles County

• Ability to utilize personal computer to submit reports in a timely manner

Position Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates speech and language skills for children and adolescents and provides appropriate treatment/interventions to improve upon deficit areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive and professional assessment of each child's strengths and weaknesses related to speech and language issues.
• Develop appropriate IEP therapy goals to access the general education curriculum and/or private therapy goals to assist families in reaching realistic goals for treatment.
• Develop a treatment plan and update it as appropriate.
• Work as part of an educational team and establish rapport with school staff and parents.
• Support partner school staff by providing expertise, input, and advice in speech and language areas.
• Maintain adequate progress notes for IEP goals, insurance, and other stakeholders.
• Write IEP goals, present level of performance, and quarterly progress notes as assigned by school staff.
• Follow the partner school's calendar with regular attendance and notify school and MLC staff in case of an absence; make up IEP minutes in a timely manner and document them.
• Maintain contact with other professionals to ensure coordinated treatment efforts.
• Submit billing in a timely manner.
• Perform any other duties specified by supervisor and/or school staff.
