Job summary

CITRUS HEALTH AND REHABILITATION is hiring Speech Language Pathologists to join its in-house rehab team at a 111-bed skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for residents.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff, with referral bonuses and flexible schedules. CPR certification and licensure are required, with SNF experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Speech Language Pathologist License in Florida
• CPR certification
• At least 1 year of Skilled Nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Creating, administering and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients.
• Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement.
• Educating patients and family members about communication techniques and strategies to cope with or avoid misunderstandings.
• Communicating with the dietary department regarding rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions
