Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• CCC-SLP or CF-SLP eligibility (CF-SLP/CFY acceptable).
• Active Maine SLP License or eligibility.
• School-based, pediatric or special education experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services to students across preschool through high school.
• Conduct evaluations and assessments of speech and language needs.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans.
• Deliver direct therapy in individual and small-group sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and related service providers.
• Monitor progress and maintain compliant documentation.

Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities

Responsibilities Vary By Placement But May Include

• Provide speech-language therapy services to preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school students
• Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
• Deliver direct therapy services through individual and small-group sessions
• Support students with:
  • Articulation and phonological disorders
  • Receptive and expressive language disorders
  • Social/pragmatic communication
  • Fluency disorders
  • Voice disorders
  • AAC and assistive communication needs
• Adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of diverse age groups and developmental levels
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Monitor progress and maintain compliant documentation
• Support students in achieving greater communication, independence, and educational success
