Job summary

North Clackamas School District is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to support students at Alder Creek Middle School. This 1.0 FTE, 193-day contract focuses on assessment and intervention for a wide range of speech-language needs within a collaborative school setting.

Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Board of Examiners For Speech-Language Pathology license or TSPC license with Communication Disorders endorsement.

Qualifications

  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Board of Examiners For Speech-Language Pathology license or valid TSPC license with Communication Disorders endorsement.
  • CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred.
  • Experience working with students who are Limited English Proficient.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in assessment, intervention and program design for speech-language needs within school settings.
  • Collaborate with educators to support readiness to learn and student welfare across elementary and/or secondary settings.
  • Rotate among multiple schools as needed to support service delivery.

Position Summary:

Speech language pathologists work in a variety of elementary and secondary school settings by focusing on helping students with a wide range of speech–language-related needs to meet performance standards. The work includes the use of evidence-based assessment and intervention practices in the prevention, assessment, intervention, and program design efforts that are integrated within a school.
Primary responsibility shall include student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student's readiness to learn including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare. Speech language pathologist may work in a variety of elementary and/or secondary educational, individual or team settings. Speech language pathologists may rotate among multiple schools.

License Requirement:

Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Board of Examiners For Speech-Language Pathology license or valid TSPC license with Communication Disorders endorsement.

PLEASE NOTE:

North Clackamas Schools is negotiating the licensed contract for the 26-27 school year. Below is our Annual Salary Range for the 25-26 school year:

  • Annual Salary Range (2025-2026): $58,788 - $111,463 (193-Day Contract). Initial placement based on education, experience.
  • This salary range reflects 1.0 FTE. Actual salary is prorated based on FTE and start date.
  • This position qualifies for an annual approximate Extended Responsibilities SPED Stipend of $5,673.
  • Stipend(s) are pro-rated based on 1.0 FTE and start/end dates of position/assignment.

As a licensed employee, you are eligible to receive:

A stipend of $3,000 if you hold a PhD or EdD.

Retirement Contribution:

North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility, which is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position, the employee is required to contribute 6% as their employee portion, via payroll deduction. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Certificate of clinical competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience working with, or knowledge, of students who are Limited English Proficient.
