Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Services in Texas is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN role that emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care. You will evaluate swallowing disorders and communication or cognitive impairments, establish treatment goals, and implement evidence-based plans based on a full clinical evaluation, delivering private sessions when appropriate.

You will join a collaborative rehabilitation team, enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • CCC-SLP certification or eligibility required.
  • Current Texas state license or ability to obtain prior to start.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based techniques.
  • Establish treatment goals and develop/implement individualized plans based on clinical evaluation.
  • Provide rehabilitative services to residents as part of a coordinated team.
  • Participate in clinical conferences to coordinate the plan of care.
  • Deliver one-on-one sessions with a functional-based treatment approach.

  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/ cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidenced based therapeutic techniques
  • Establish treatment goals, as well as develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation
  • Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
  • Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients
  • Treat residents one on one so each patient gets individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional based treatment approach

Position requirements:
  • Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC- SLP)
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
  • Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills
Pay Range
USD $45.00 - USD $51.00 /Hr.
