Job summary

Center for Developmental Disabilities, Inc. is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services to students under their IEPs within a school-based caseload. The role emphasizes collaboration with the treatment team, timely documentation, and active participation in CSE meetings.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, a NYS license, and CCC certification, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. A valid NYS driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • NYS License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with school-aged children with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities (twisting, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing) and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Driver's license preferred in NYS.

Responsibilities

  • Provides speech services as per student IEP mandate to students on designated caseload.
  • Writes logs, reports, and evaluations as required.
  • Ensures that all documentation and reports are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Participates as a member of their designated students treatment team.
  • Participates in student CSE meetings as assigned.
  • Adheres to all school and agency policies and procedures.
  • Attends and participates in all scheduled department and school meetings.
  • Attends trainings/conferences for professional growth.
  • Provides consultation for staff regarding classroom interventions.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with administration, staff, and parents.

Schedule: Full‑Time: Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑3:30 pm.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid NYS Driver's License preferred.

  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as (but not limited to) twisting, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
